My lovely grandmother with her Mother’s Day bouquet.

I lost my mother last year.

My grandmother lost a daughter.

My mother always made sure she gave presents to my grandmother every year, on her own birthday, on my grandmother’s birthday and on Mother’s Day.

She probably never thought that the children of her daughter would one day take her daughter’s place in continuing the tradition.

Celebrate love and life, and most importantly, celebrate those who have given births to beautiful, meaningful lives.

Those you have lost, they are never truly lost. They still live, in you, through you.

Thank you for being a mother.
