People tend to confuse discomfort with other feelings they have. Most cases, people don’t actually hate or dislike, they are just uncomfortable and maybe a tad scared of what they don’t understand. Compassion is very important in this case. To understand that they dislike (hate is a very strong word) and that that might not be their real character but rather they’re discomfort is important to grow compassion.
