There is not even an evening
In which I contemplate the firmament
Without my soul full of contentment
Surrender and rejoice in the peace
My body absent, unable
Of a single movement
Rests.
And my thinking goes away
Lost in immense space
Flying placid in the open.
I think:
If it’s like this on Earth
Imagine in Heaven!
I fall silent with astonishment
And enchantment
For everything there is
Admiring the creation in ecstasy
As if it were always the first time
My sated heart
Thanks God for everything He did
And for everything He does.
